Three Practices, One Family
At Texas Pediatric Dentistry, our heart is for families—making them feel comfortable, cared for, and excited about going to the dentist. We started as a pediatric dental clinic because we love working with kiddos, but our laid-back atmosphere and compassionate team quickly caught on with the parents—so we expanded our practice to include Stonebridge Ranch Dentistry and TPD Smiles, where we offer full-service adult dentistry and orthodontic care. Whether you’re preparing for your child’s first visit or you want to improve your own dental experience, we’re excited to welcome you to our TPD family.
What to Expect
“I am very impressed by everyone at this office. From the time we walked in, until we left, everyone was very kind, caring and helpful. They explained everything as they were doing it, so my child felt very comfortable.”
TPD Through the Years
In the fall of 2006, Dr. Tim Brister opened his first practice, Texas Pediatric Dentistry, in a small leased office on the McKinney/Frisco border. This full-service pediatric office quickly began to grow, and soon developed a reputation as a family-oriented, no-pressure, quality care office that was focused on patients’ needs.
Through the years, the parents of our patients would comment about how they would love to be treated in the same office as their children, since they were comfortable with the location, staff, and atmosphere of the practice. In 2012, TPD had outgrown its current leased space, so Dr. Tim purchased a piece of property just down the road with plans to build his own building. Dr. Tim seriously considered the parents’ requests and decided to bring in a general dentist to treat the parents in the same building as their children, thus creating Stonebridge Ranch Dentistry and the ability to treat the entire family under one roof.
Within 1 year, it was clear he had a good problem: the general dentistry practice had outgrown the office it shared with the pediatric practice and would need its own space. Again, Dr. Tim found the perfect piece of property just down the street on a nearby greenbelt and built what is now a beautiful, state of the art office that provides that same no-pressure, quality care that we became known for over a decade ago.
The next natural progression in our practices was to expand and offer additional services that our patients needed the most. Orthodontics was the most logical option, as many of our patients of all ages were interested in working to correct their smile.
Though there are 3 practices, they are completely intertwined, including the staff, doctors, patient charts, and the ability to take care of your entire family. Our goal is to offer comprehensive care for all of our patients. This eliminates the need for outside referrals and gives our patients a place to receive their dental care in facilities that are warm and welcoming, with staff members who are already invested in providing the ultimate level of service.
Commitment to Safety
At Texas Pediatric Dentistry, the health and safety of our patients is our number one priority. We diligently follow the infection control guidelines issued by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), including:
- Thoroughly washing hands with disinfectant hand soap before and after each patient
- Wearing the appropriate protective gear such as disposable masks and gloves
- Immediate discarding of all disposable equipment and tools
- Washing and ultra-sonic sterilizing all reusable equipment and tools
- Disinfecting dental stations before each patient
If you have any questions about our infection control and patient safety procedures, please contact us and we will be happy to put your mind at ease.
