Bones I’ve broken
I have wanted to be a dentist since I was 8 years old! As a teen, I worked in an orthodontist’s office to gain some experience. In 1997, I completed a Bachelor’s in Zoology at Texas Tech, and graduated from The Texas A&M University Health Science Center-Baylor College of Dentistry with my Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2002. I completed two additional years of specialized residency training in pediatric dentistry at The University of Texas-Houston Dental Branch. After residency, I served as a pediatric dentist in my own practice in Colorado until 2019. I became a Diplomate, board certified, of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2007 and a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy in 2012.
I attend American Dental Association meetings as a delegate from the Colorado Dental Association. I also serve on the executive board of the Metro Denver Dental Society and will be president in 2024. I am a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the Colorado Association of Pediatric Dentistry, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, and a graduate of the Academy of Laser Dentistry. I have also been recognized as one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry in the United States.
I am excited to be able to get back to my roots and return to the Dallas area – at least on a part time basis and care for patients again. I really like getting to know my patients and families. Since I enjoy traveling, I love to hear about your trips and adventures. I hope you will teach me about McKinney as we get to know one another. When I am not visiting family or participating in organized dentistry, I take orders from my black lab, McKinley.
